Bindex Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

Bindex doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Bindex is made by Haigh Labs (Christopher Haigh). This policy explains what the app does with information on your device.

What stays on your device

Your binders, the cards you've chosen for them, what you've marked as collected, your settings and any cover photos you pick are saved only on your iPhone or iPad. They are never sent to Haigh Labs or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Camera

If you use the card scanner, Bindex uses your camera to read the text on a card. This happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition. Camera images are not saved or uploaded. You can turn off camera access at any time in Settings → Bindex.

Photos

If you choose a photo as a binder cover, you pick it with Apple's photo picker, which only gives Bindex the photo you choose. A copy is kept inside the app for the cover. Bindex can't see the rest of your photo library.

Card and Pokémon information

To show Pokémon artwork, card details, card pictures and prices, Bindex downloads them from public services: PokéAPI, TCGdex, the Pokémon TCG API, TCGplayer and Limitless TCG. These requests only ask for a card or Pokémon by its number. Like any website you visit, these services can see your device's IP address when it makes a request. Bindex doesn't send them anything that identifies you. Downloaded pictures are kept on your device so they don't need downloading again.

Children

Bindex collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
